Guided tours of Sunnylands, the former winter residence of Walter and Leonore Annenberg, are offered Thursdays through Sundays, except during the month of August or when a retreat is being held on the estate.
Historic house & grounds: Visits to the historic estate are by guided tour only. Tours are limited to seven people each and there are 10 tours a day. All tours require advance reservations as space is extremely limited. The house and one tour shuttle are accessible for guests using wheelchairs.When purchasing tickets please indicate your special needs.
Tickets: Tour tickets are released in two-week increments, two weeks in advance, on the 1st and 15th of each month. Tickets for June 1 - 15 are now available. Purchase tickets and see a tour schedule here. All sales are final; there are no refunds, exchanges, or wait list. Please note that tour times in June and July are in the morning only and begin at 7:15 a.m.
Group tours (minimum of 21/ maximum of 70) are offered on Wednesdays and cost $45 per person. Group tours are sold out through June 30, 2012 and we are not accepting reservations past July 2012. Sunnylands Center & Gardens is open free to the public Thursdays through Sundays.

Every Friday at 10:30 a.m., there is a one-hour garden tour that covers design, sustainability, and desert plants. No reservations are needed.
In August, the historic estate and Sunnylands Center & Gardens are closed.
Planning Your Visit
Sunnylands is in a desert environment, home to a variety of plants and wildlife. Be aware of your surroundings, watch your step, and help your children explore safely.
Visitors are encouraged to be prepared with water, hat, sunscreen, etc. No food or drink other than water is allowed on tours of the historic estate. Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
Sunnylands is a smoke-free environment.
Tours: All tours require reserved tickets. Guests are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled tour time. All tours leave promptly from Sunnylands Center. Tours will take place rain or shine. Visitors are reminded that transportation is by open vehicle and walking indoors and outdoors is required. One tour shuttle is accessible for guests using wheelchairs. Please indicate any special needs when purchasing tickets. Cell phones must be silenced during the tour. Passengers on tour shuttles must be at least 10 years old. No children under 10 years of age are permitted on tours of the estate and house. There is no student or senior discount. Please be advised that although travel to the house and around the grounds is via a seven-passenger, open-sided shuttle, there is more than 30 minutes of walking and standing while in the house, where there is no seating.
Accessibility: Both the historic house and Sunnylands Center are on one level, with no stairs or changes in elevation. Parts of the Gardens can be accessed easily in a wheelchair. The garden walk contains some uneven surfaces. One tour shuttle is accessible for guests using wheelchairs. When purchasing tickets, please indicate your special needs.
Parking: Parking is free and in the event of large crowds, spaces are reserved for those holding reservations for tours of the historic estate.
Lockers: Provided for backpacks and other personal items. Purses and bags larger than 12" x 14" are not allowed on tours of the historic house.
Pets: No pets are allowed at Sunnylands. Please do not leave unattended animals in your vehicle.
Photography: No photography is permitted in the historic house. Photography for private use is welcome on the grounds and at Sunnylands Center & Gardens. Videotaping or sound recording devices are not permitted. Commercial photography requires special permission.
